Cassidy's Bio Cont'd

In 2016 Cassidy’s driving made huge improvements and she started coming into her own. She started driving Lt. World Formula and Mod which are faster cars and the experience from driving the faster cars allowed her to drive her slower cars better. In 2016 Cassidy raced in her first Grands National event in Topeka, KS, the first Rocky Mtn Fall Nationals race and she raced at the Winter Nationals for her 2^nd year.

In 2017 Cassidy became a force to reckon with. Her natural driving ability came out of nowhere. Cassidy can drive any car, wrecked, slow, geared wrong etc… She will give all she has to give to finish in the best place possible. At the 2017 Eastern Grands Cassidy finished 9^th in Sr. Honda because she was wrecked into the wall. When she hit the wall, it punctured a hole in the front left tire, broke the shock shaft and broke the front left radius rod. Our team told Cassidy she was done. Cassidy told her team to fix it as best they could, so she could finish. They replaced the left tire and zip tied the shock shaft and radius rod, so she had to pull up on the steering wheel to turn left. There weren’t enough laps left to advance position, but she was catching the field. After that race the saying “Though she be little she be fierce” described her to a tee. Cassidy is also in all Honors and AP (Advanced Placement) classes, she made straight A’s all year, received an Award for Academic Excellence and earned her Academic Letter for her letter jacket.

Cassidy’s 2018 racing season feels like everything is coming together and moving forward on a positive note. Her driving, communication and mechanical knowledge are amazing this year. Cassidy became a National Champion in Modified World Formula at the 2018 Western Grands in Livermore, CA. She also set 2 track records in Livermore, CA, one in Hvy Animal and one in Modified World Formula. Cassidy is trying new things this year when it comes to racing. She is starting to drive on dirt and just like asphalt/concrete driving, it comes completely natural to her. The school year has just started but Cassidy strives to be the best on the track and off. She is doubling up on her sciences this year by taking Honors Biology, Astronomy and Zoology, so she can take Physics and Chemistry her Junior and Senior years of high school. She continues to be a voice for her school in student council.
